The San Francisco 49ers will have their first team practice today at 2:30 PM and it will last until 5:30 PM according to Grant Cohn (@grantcohn) of the Press Democrat.
Starting this year, beat writers will no longer be allowed to tweet live updates from the sidelines during camp, so don't expect any real practice news and updates until after 5:30 PM.
The quarterbacks for training camp today will be second round selection in the 2011 NFL Draft, Colin Kaepernick, and free agent aquisition McLeod Bethel-Thompson of Sac State.
Matt Barrows (@mattbarrows) reports that the 49ers have 76 players on their roster right now, including three on the PUP. This number does not include free agents like Alex Smith who will sign today.
Also of note, running back Jeremiah Masoli will wear No. 29 while Bethel-Thompson is sporting No. 1.
