ESPN insider Adam Schefter reports that the NFL has rescinded its $14,926 fine against San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk.

On September 24, it was reported that the league fined Juszczyk for his celebration after a touchdown pass from quarterback Brock Purdy during the 49ers' Week 2 win over the Miami Dolphins.

The NFL provided Juszczyk with the following explanation: "Your imitation of chugging a beer constituted an offensive demonstration and could reasonably be construed as being in poor taste."

Juszczyk appealed the fine, saying he wasn't imitating "chugging a beer" and that his celebration was an ode to his nickname, "Juice." It's also how the 49ers fullback has regularly celebrated his touchdowns, making the fine surprising.

"I feel like there's already been so much put out there," Juszczyk told reporters. "I don't know how else to say it: I wasn't drinking beer in my celebration. I think you guys all know my nickname is 'Juice.' I have 'Juice' on my pads. The stadium yells 'Juice!' when I catch the ball.

"When I celebrate, I celebrate by drinking juice, and it's been that way for years, so I was as surprised as anybody when I got a fine this week for this past week."

Purdy defended his teammate.

"I've seen Juice do his celebration for like five years, or however long I've been here," Purdy said. "So, a little confused by the punishment he's dealing with."

Schefter noted that the league said it was withdrawing the fine "because his celebration was simulating drinking a juice box, not a beer….Mr. Juszczyk finally stated that the fine is hypocritical with the amount of Bud Light sponsorships surrounding the NFL."
