Kyle Juszczyk knee update
The most significant-looking injury involved fullback Kyle Juszczyk, who took a hit to his knee after a fourth-quarter catch and was slow to get up. He eventually needed assistance to leave the field and head to the locker room.
"Juice, we don't know for sure," Shanahan said. "They're thinking it was probably a knee sprain. The ACL and stuff looked intact, but to find out for sure, we'll have to find out tomorrow."
The 49ers will hope for positive news on Juszczyk when he is evaluated Monday. The veteran fullback remains an important part of Shanahan's offense.
Marques Sigle and Upton Stout
Safety Marques Sigle and cornerback Upton Stout also left the game with injuries. Shanahan noted that Sigle suffered an ankle injury, while Stout is dealing with a shoulder issue.
"Stout, they're guessing an AC, but we won't know for sure until tomorrow," Shanahan said. "And Sigle, they're not sure [on the severity]."
Fred Warner deals with stomach issues
Fred Warner briefly left for the locker room early in the second half. Shanahan clarified that the All-Pro linebacker was dealing with stomach issues.
"He was having some stomach things, but he was all right," Shanahan said.
Warner spoke to reporters after the game and explained what he experienced during the excessively hot afternoon at Levi's Stadium.
"That was the first time I ever experienced that," Warner said. "It was like a stomach cramp that I was feeling late in some of those drives, and the only way I was able to kind of help it go away was just kind of by crunching over.
"So, they were telling me that I just needed to get more fluids, and so at the half, I got the IV, and that knocked it out, and I was ready to roll."
Warner was asked if the heat contributed to the issue.
"I hate even feeling like that may have been the case," Warner responded. "I guess if I'm considered cramping—I thought I was the most hydrated person on the field going into that game, I swear. You know me, I make sure I cross all the T's and dot all the I's. But sometimes random things pop up, and we address them, and we move forward."
