"Obviously a difficult situation. You know, I have so much love and respect for the York family, for Jed, for Danielle, John, and Denise and Jenna and Mara − they've just been tremendous to me and my family," Lynch said, per USA Today. "I thought Kyle said it well. It's a real personal situation. We're going to leave it as such."
York was arrested in Ohio on Sunday morning after responding to an ad on a prostitution website as part of a sting operation conducted by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. He pleaded no contest Monday morning to two misdemeanor charges: disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools.
York reportedly spent two days in jail and was ordered to pay $1,150 in fines.
On Wednesday, body cam footage from the arrest was released and subsequently shared on social media by TMZ.
This week, head coach Kyle Shanahan expressed similar sentiments.
"I think it's a very, very personal situation," Shanahan told reporters. "I've got a lot of respect for Jed. I've got a lot of respect for Danielle (Jed's wife). Their family does mean a lot to me. So, with it being this personal, I'm trying as hard as I can to keep it that way."
