Jonah Owen Lamb of the San Francisco Standard reported new details surrounding the shooting. According to a police report, White was involved in a verbal altercation with rapper Lil Baby—whose legal name is Dominique Jones—at Dahlia's, a nightclub on Mission Street. No suspect has been publicly identified.
"The party included several strippers on the main floor and a private party downstairs where White was shot," the San Francisco Standard stated.
According to the report, members of Jones' entourage attempted to enter White's private event, leading to a verbal dispute between the two parties. A witness told police he left to get the nightclub management in an effort to defuse the situation. While away, he heard two gunshots. When he returned, White had been shot in the left leg. The witness said he did not see who fired the weapon.
San Francisco Police Department spokesman Evan Sernoffsky previously confirmed officers are actively pursuing multiple leads.
The San Francisco Standard added: "When asked who had shot him, White was uncooperative, according to the report."
Investigators recovered one 9mm shell casing and one .45-caliber casing at the scene.
The 49ers released a statement once White was out of surgery.
"The surgery was considered successful. No word yet on his recovery time," The Athletic's Matt Barrows wrote on social media.
