That has changed.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Miami Dolphins will interview Saleh on Thursday for their head coaching vacancy. Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter is also scheduled to interview with Miami.
The Dolphins fired head coach Mike McDaniel on January 8, after the season concluded.
Rapoport previously reported that Saleh is set to speak with the Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans on Sunday. In addition, the Arizona Cardinals and Atlanta Falcons have requested permission to interview the 49ers' defensive coordinator.
Saleh is in the first year of his second stint with the 49ers, and the team is just one win away from reaching the NFC Championship Game for the fourth time in five seasons. His first tenure in San Francisco ran from 2017 through 2020, after which he became the head coach of the New York Jets.
