Injury Notes
Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall missed his third consecutive practice, did not get any on-field work ahead of Monday's game, and has been ruled out. Pearsall suffered knee and ankle injuries during last week's win over the Tennessee Titans.
The NFL fined Titans defensive back Kevin Winston Jr. $23,186 for the hip-drop tackle on Pearsall, which resulted in the ankle injury.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan noted that Pearsall will not travel with the team to Indianapolis. When asked if he was close to being able to play, Shanahan said, "Yeah, he was close—but not close enough."
Defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos also did not practice Saturday. However, he was a limited participant on Thursday and Friday, and the 49ers typically avoid scheduling him for three consecutive practice days as part of his workload management. He is listed as questionable for the Colts game.
"He had a good two days, that we got him out there," Shanahan said of Gross-Matos. "Rested him today. We'll decide on that when we have to, which I think is Monday. So, we'll feel it out over these next two days."
Cornerback Renardo Green shed his no-contact jersey for Saturday's practice, but surprisingly, was still ruled out for Monday's game.
"His neck's been bothering him since the game," Shanahan said of Green. "It just didn't get any better, so we had to shut him down for the week."
Darrell Luter Jr. will likely make his second start of the season with Green out.
