The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 15 contest against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Defensive end Sam Okuayinonu and linebackers Tatum Bethune and Nick Martin remain sidelined.

The two players who received veteran rest days on Wednesday—running back Christian McCaffrey and tackle Trent Williams—returned to the field. However, McCaffrey was limited due to an illness.

During a radio interview, when asked whether McCaffrey's illness is something to worry about, an unconcerned Kyle Shanahan responded, "No, he'll be alright."

Defensive tackle Kevin Givens also returned after missing Wednesday's session due to a personal matter.

Fullback Kyle Juszczyk remains a limited practice participant after suffering a rib fracture against the Cleveland Browns.

Additionally, San Francisco opened the practice window for defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos.

When asked why the 49ers waited until Thursday to open Gross-Matos' practice window, Shanahan said, "Just because of how the whole offseason went with him, and our plan this year. We don't ever practice him two days in a row, Wednesday and Thursday, so he only practices on Thursdays, regardless, even before he got hurt."

General manager John Lynch discussed Gross-Matos on Thursday: "He's an excellent football player. He's a guy who can play outside, but then, is probably at his best when he moves inside on nickel or pass situations. He's a really effective football player."

Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Titans, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
