"Nothing to add there," Lynch said. "We've talked about that ad nauseam. Nothing to add there. No update."
Aiyuk continues to recover from the ACL and MCL injuries he suffered last season. The 49ers have yet to open his practice window, and with the opportunities to do so rapidly diminishing, a 2025 return is looking increasingly unlikely.
There is also growing speculation that Aiyuk's time in red and gold may be coming to an end. San Francisco recently voided his guaranteed money for 2026, part of the four-year, $120 million extension he signed just last year.
Lynch's lack of an update may signal that even the 49ers—once hopeful about Aiyuk's late-season return—have become more skeptical as the weeks pass.
"I'm not counting on it, but I'm definitely still hoping that can happen," head coach Kyle Shanahan said last week.
The silver lining for San Francisco is that the team enters Week 15 with a 9-4 record and is firmly positioned to return to the postseason after missing the playoffs in 2024.
