"San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings has become a curiosity on the trade market, with some of the teams that tried to trade for him prior to training camp interested again," Rapoport reported.
Jennings' production has dipped this season as he continues to battle through injuries, which have limited his ability to contribute consistently.
"I'd be very surprised if Jauan wasn't on our team throughout this year," Shanahan said.
Jennings has been dealing with shoulder, ankle, and rib injuries, and has recorded only 18 catches for 212 yards and a touchdown through six games.
Shanahan added, "Jauan has been really hurt all year. I think he's getting better. I think last week was a step in the right direction, but hopefully, he'll be better this week. Jauan has been compromised on a lot of things."
While Rapoport noted that a deal appears unlikely, he didn't ruleit outy entirely, stating that other teams will likely continueto checkg in.
"A trade of Jennings isn't off the table, but with Brandon Aiyuk still coming back from last year's season-ending knee injury, it's not considered likely," Rapoport wrote. "Teams will continue to call, though."
Jennings, meanwhile, remains committed to San Francisco and expressed his enthusiasm for playing with the 49ers.
"I just love playing with this team, man," Jennings said last week. "To go out there, every day, and see guys like [TE George] Kittle, Juice [FB Kyle Juszczyk], Mac 10 [QB Mac Jones] out here. When I saw D-Rob [WR Demarcus Robinson] after catching that pass (the two-point conversion against the Texans), man, it fires me up because we've got a lot of guys on this team who want to contribute, and can contribute, and just great players that make it fun to come to work every day."
