Quarterback Brock Purdy continues to practice and is showing progress from the toe injury that sidelined him for the past two games. He's trending toward starting Sunday against the Jaguars.

Ricky Pearsall returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out Wednesday with knee soreness from Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals. The second-year wide receiver downplayed the concern, saying, "It's just a little bit of soreness, and I'm not worried about it. If there was a game today, I'd play."
Pearsall leads the San Francisco 49ers with 281 receiving yards this season, ranking third in the entire NFL.
On the other hand, fellow wide receiver Jauan Jennings remains sidelined. Jennings, who missed all of last week's practices and sat out against Arizona, is still dealing with a shoulder injury from Week 1 and an ankle injury from Week 2.
"It's been the same as last week," head coach Kyle Shanahan said Thursday during a radio interview. "Obviously, it is getting better, but hopefully, he'll have an improvement and be able to get out there to practice tomorrow."
Wide receiver Jordan Watkins is also expected to be out for an extended stretch after suffering a calf injury last week, keeping him off the practice field.
Defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos returned to practice after missing Wednesday's session with a knee issue. However, defensive tackle C.J. West remains absent following surgery on a broken thumb. The 49ers are hopeful West can suit up this weekend while wearing a protective cast.
Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Jaguars, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
