Although wide receiver Jauan Jennings was officially listed as a non-participant for the second straight day, he was spotted on the field with his teammates Thursday—unlike Wednesday, when he was absent. Jennings suffered a shoulder injury in Week 1, but tests reportedly revealed no significant damage.
Quarterback Brock Purdy also remained sidelined for the second consecutive day as he continues to recover from injuries to his left shoulder and toe. The toe injury is considered the bigger concern. While NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported Purdy could miss two to five weeks, general manager John Lynch emphasized the quarterback is considered "week-to-week."
Defensive ends Yetur Gross-Matos (knee) and Nick Bosa (rest) returned to practice after sitting out Wednesday. Running back Christian McCaffrey (calf) also rejoined his teammates. Bosa and McCaffrey were full participants.
Meanwhile, veteran tackle Trent Williams (knee), who did not practice on Wednesday, did conditioning work on the side.
Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Saints, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
