The San Francisco 49ers announced that guard Austen Pleasants and tight end Jake Tonges have officially signed their one-year exclusive rights contracts with the team.

Pleasants (6-7, 330) entered the league in 2020 as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio, initially signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Over four NFL seasons, the 27-year-old offensive lineman has spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Chargers, and, most recently, the 49ers.

San Francisco signed Pleasants on December 17, 2024, following a series of injuries along the offensive line. He quickly saw action, appearing in the final three games of the regular season.

Tonges (6-4, 240), a University of California product, was signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He joined the 49ers' practice squad on September 27, 2023, and signed a reserve/future contract with the team on February 13, 2024.

While Tonges, 25, recorded 47 receptions for 620 yards and four touchdowns during his college career, he has yet to register a catch in the NFL. His lone target came during his time with the Bears in 2022.
