NFL Draft Diamonds reported that Lynch was present to observe this year's group of draft-eligible Ducks working out for NFL teams. Additionally, the 49ers had eight scouts in attendance.
"I would like to think the Packers and Niners have an Oregon guy or two on their board," NFL Draft Diamonds commented.
After losing several veteran stars to free agency, the 49ers are looking to reload their roster with young talent in the 2025 NFL Draft. The team is cutting back on its cash spending, fully aware that quarterback Brock Purdy is set for a significant payday, which will limit their salary cap flexibility in the near future.
"Yeah, this is a real thing; the financial restrictions we're under are a real thing," the 49ers told fullback Kyle Juszczyk before releasing and then re-signing him.
Meanwhile, several NFL hopefuls in Eugene seized the Pro Day as their last chance to showcase their skills before next month's draft. A school-record 12 Ducks were invited to the NFL Scouting Combine in February. Tuesday's workout featured defensive lineman Derrick Harmon and offensive lineman Josh Conerly Jr., both of whom could be selected on day one of the draft.
Other participants included wide receivers Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden, quarterback Dillon Gabriel, tight end Terrance Ferguson, and defensive back Jabbar Muhammad.
