Free-agent cornerback Isaac Yiadom won't be returning to the San Francisco 49ers in 2025. According to his agent, Yiadom is signing a three-year deal with the New Orleans Saints, where he previously played in 2022 and 2023. He follows former 49ers assistant head coach Brandon Staley, now the Saints' defensive coordinator.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports that the deal is worth $9 million with a maximum value of $10.5 million and $4.86 million guaranteed.

Yiadom (6-1, 188) was selected by the Denver Broncos in the third round (No. 99 overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Boston College. His physical play quickly helped the cornerback carve out a role as a rotational defender and special teams contributor.

In 2024, Yiadom, 29, appeared in all 17 games for the 49ers, starting five. He recorded 46 tackles, six passes defensed, one interception, and two forced fumbles while playing 46 percent of the defensive snaps, per Pro Football Reference.

The veteran cornerback has appeared in 104 career games (33 starts) over seven NFL seasons, recording 204 tackles (one for a loss), 32 passes defensed, three interceptions, 0.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles.

In addition to his time with the Broncos, Saints, and 49ers, Yiadom has had stints with the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, and Houston Texans. Now, he's set to return to New Orleans, where he'll look to bolster the Saints' secondary.
