Unfortunately, injuries were a significant storyline for the 49ers in 2024. Despite being among the team's highest-graded players, Williams, Moore, Aiyuk, Mason, and McCaffrey missed time late in the season and finished on injured reserve.
Quick Notes
Notably, George Kittle earned the highest grade among 49ers offensive players and was the top-graded tight end in the NFL this season. His 92.1 offensive grade was a career-high and narrowly surpassed defensive end Nick Bosa's 91.0 defensive grade, making Kittle the highest-graded Niner overall. Kittle also led the team with a stellar receiving grade of 92.4.
While the team's running back depth was tested throughout the season, with several players starting games, surprisingly, quarterback Brock Purdy earned the highest rushing grade on the team (90.2).
Despite missing the latter part of the season, left tackle Trent Williams maintained his dominance when healthy, earning the team's best pass-blocking grade (84.5). Meanwhile, rookie right guard Dominick Puni emerged as a bright spot on the offensive line, earning the highest run-blocking grade among 49ers linemen. His 80.5 offensive grade was the best among all rookie offensive linemen league-wide.
