The day after the game, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that Purdy checked out with a clean bill of health.
"But trainers talking to him and stuff, he felt good and no lingering issues from that play," Shanahan said.
Taylor, a second-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2020, spent four seasons in the NFC West before being traded to the Bears.
Purdy had an impressive performance against the Bears, throwing for 325 yards and two touchdowns in a dominant 38-13 victory. Unfortunately, the 49ers suffered their eighth loss of the season just four days later, falling to the division-rival Los Angeles Rams—a defeat that likely dashed their playoff hopes.
San Francisco has three games remaining on the schedule. The 49ers will travel to face the Miami Dolphins next weekend, host the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football, and close out the season on the road against the Arizona Cardinals.
