Quick Takeaways


Jauan Jennings continues to impress, proving to be a reliable wide receiver target for quarterback Brock Purdy. He finished the game with 10 catches for 91 yards and a touchdown. Jennings earned an 82.1 overall grade, the highest among 49ers players with more than 10 snaps. He now leads the team with 588 receiving yards this season, while his 86.9 offensive grade marks a career-high.

Rookie Dominick Puni was the 49ers' highest-graded offensive lineman, allowing just one pressure and earning a team-best 78.5 pass-blocking grade among 49ers linemen.

Meanwhile, Christian McCaffrey notched the highest pass-blocking grade on the team (79.7). His 69.9 offensive grade was just slightly lower than his 70.2 grade in his season debut a week earlier. He finished with 106 or more scrimmage yards for the second consecutive week but once again failed to find the end zone.


The top run-blocking grade went to right tackle Colton McKivitz, who recorded a season-high 90.3 mark. His 79.4 offensive grade was his second-best this season, following an 82.1 performance in Week 4 against the Patriots.

Left tackle Trent Williams, playing through an ankle injury, recorded his third-lowest offensive grade of the season (68.6 compared to 55.4 in Week 7 and 65.6 in Week 8) and his lowest pass-blocking grade (64.3). He allowed a team-high two pressures in the game.

Pressures allowed among O-line:

Purdy finished the game with a season-low 159 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception. It was his lowest yardage total since throwing for 125 yards in Week 6 last season. Purdy's 63.7 offensive grade was his third-lowest of the season (54.6 in Week 7, 61.2 in Week 2).

Wide receiver Deebo Samuel had a quiet game with just four catches for 22 yards, earning a season-low 55.5 offensive grade.


Rookie wideout Ricky Pearsall finished without a catch on two targets and earned a career-low 51.8 offensive grade. It was his first NFL game without a catch and followed an impressive 73-yard, one-touchdown performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Linebacker Dee Winters earned the highest defensive grade of the game (85.1), albeit in a limited 10 snaps. His 85.7 coverage grade was also a game-high.

Among defensive backs, safety Ji'Ayir Brown earned the top coverage grade (66.6) and recorded five tackles.

Leonard Floyd's 71.0 defensive grade was the highest among 49ers defensive linemen. He generated a game-high six pressures on his way to 1.5 sacks.

Yetur Gross-Matos, returning from injury, posted a team-high 71.8 pass-rushing grade, while Nick Bosa earned a 71.4 pass-rushing grade before exiting in the second half with an injury.

Rookie safety Malik Mustapha earned an 85.1 run-defense grade, the best of the game, and an 83.3 tackling grade, leading the team in both categories.

Cornerback Renardo Green, one of the team's standout rookies, had a tough outing. He posted a 54.9 defensive grade, his lowest since Week 4, and allowed seven catches for 78 yards and a 107.3 passer rating on eight targets. He finished the game with eight tackles and a pass defensed while playing through a finger injury.

Deommodore Lenoir, fresh off signing a significant contract extension, allowed six catches for 50 yards and a season-high 90.6 passer rating on his eight targets.
