49ers will host Packers in Divisional Playoff round

The San Francisco 49ers have finally learned their opponent for the Divisional Playoff round. The team will host the Green Bay Packers at Levi's Stadium next weekend. The Packers emerged as the lowest-seeded NFC winner from the Wild Card round.

Green Bay is the seventh-seeded team in the NFC. The Packers beat the second-seeded Dallas Cowboys 48-32 at AT&T Stadium on Sunday.


Finishing the regular season with a 12-5 record, the 49ers secured the top seed in the NFC and home-field advantage, receiving a first-round bye. The team's offense ranked second in the NFL, behind only the Miami Dolphins.

While the defense ranked eighth in the league, the unit surrendered only 298 points this season, the third-fewest in the NFL.

San Francisco boasts one of the most talented rosters in the league, with nine players earning Pro Bowl selections and seven players earning All-Pro honors. The 49ers have made the playoffs in four of the past five seasons and are the betting favorite to win Super Bowl 58, per DraftKings Sportsbook.
