On Friday, the 49ers ruled out guard Aaron Banks (toe) and defensive end Drake Jackson (knee) against the Jaguars. The team listed three players, linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (ankle), defensive tackle Javon Hargrave (knee), and tackle Trent Williams (ankle), as "questionable." Hargrave and Williams are active.
Williams is making a comeback after sustaining an ankle injury on October 15 against the Cleveland Browns, causing him to miss the last two games. He was initially reported to be a "true game-time decision."
Hargrave has been dealing with a knee injury. On Friday, Shanahan told reporters, "His knee acted up in practice yesterday (Thursday)."
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel, who was sidelined for the past two games due to a hairline fracture in his shoulder, returned to practice this week and is set to play.

On Saturday, the 49ers placed Jackson on injured reserve due to a knee injury. To fill Jackson's roster spot, cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles was promoted from the practice squad, and wide receiver Willie Snead and linebacker Curtis Robinson were elevated from the practice squad.
In the absence of the injured Banks, head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that Jon Feliciano would step in. Banks is currently dealing with a turf toe injury.
