The three-day minicamp doesn't just include the drafted players. It will also include several signed and unsigned undrafted free agents, with the latter hoping to impress coaches enough to earn a contract.
The rookies will join their new veteran teammates on the practice field when organized team activities kick off on May 23. These offseason program activities so far have been voluntary. The 49ers' only mandatory minicamp will be from June 13-15. That will be the final gathering before training camp at the end of July.
