San Francisco signed Wilson (6-0, 213) as an undrafted free agent out of North Texas in 2018. He carried the football 79 times for 294 yards with two rushing touchdowns while adding seven receptions for 31 yards through nine game appearances with the 49ers last season.
Wilson, 26, has 1,265 rushing yards on 298 attempts with 13 rushing touchdowns in 37 game appearances (nine starts) through his four NFL seasons.
The 49ers running backs under contract are now Wilson, Elijah Mitchell, JaMycal Hasty, and Trey Sermon.
