According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the San Francisco 49ers are signing defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway to a one-year, $2.5 million deal.

The Indianapolis Colts made Ridgeway (6-3, 305) a fourth-round selection out of Texas in 2016. He registered 20 tackles, a tackle for a loss, five quarterback hits, two sacks, and a forced fumble through 17 game appearances (one start) with the Philadelphia Eagles last season, per Pro Football Reference.

He spent his first three seasons with the Colts and the last three with the Eagles. An ankle injury landed him on injured reserve in 2019, and a bicep injury landed him on injured reserve in 2020.

San Francisco lost defensive tackle D.J. Jones in free agency. He signed a three-year, $30 million deal with the Denver Broncos.
