Garoppolo could require offseason surgery. Right now, he is focused on the 49ers' playoff opponent—the Dallas Cowboys.
Garoppolo spoke with reporters via Zoom before Wednesday's practice. He was asked how his thumb felt after Sunday's thrilling game and how it felt on Wednesday as the 49ers start preparing for the Cowboys.
"The thumb held up pretty well," Garoppolo responded. "It is what it is. It was a little sore after the game, but it's feeling great right now."
That's good news for the 49ers, who will lean on Garoppolo to lead the team's No. 12 ranked passing attack and No. 7 ranked offense (total yards) against the Cowboys defense. Dallas is currently favored by three points in the upcoming Wild-Card matchup.
