The San Francisco 49ers seemingly emerged from Sunday's 23-7 victory over the Houston Texans relatively unscathed. In fact, head coach Kyle Shanahan had only two injury updates during his post-game press conference.

"[Linebacker] Marcell Harris got evaluated for a stinger," Shanahan revealed. "He did return, though. [Tackle] Trent Williams had an elbow sprain. He returned also."

That was it.

Cornerback Josh Norman was seen on the sideline late in the game. That, however, was just a game decision. After Norman's pass interference, the 49ers opted to replace him with Dontae Johnson late in the game.

Of course, as fans are well aware, an almost clean bill of health for the team after a game doesn't mean it is out of the woods just yet. Players will report back to the facility on Monday morning, and other issues could be reported.

A good example of that occurring in the past is quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo not being mentioned in Shanahan's post-game injury updates following the Week 16 loss to the Tennessee Titans. It wasn't until four days later that Shanahan revealed Garoppolo had suffered the thumb injury that kept him out of Sunday's game against the Texans.

There was also Elijah Mitchell's situation following Week 13. The rookie running back's concussion was reported, but his knee injury wasn't revealed until three days later.

Shanahan will speak with reporters on Monday at 3:30 p.m. PT.
