On Wednesday, Andrew Siciliano asked Frelund if she has her score prediction ready to go.
"We sure do, and it's going to be a fun one tomorrow night," Frelund responded. "Just a one-point win for the 49ers. I have 24-23 in this matchup. And by the way, for Deebo Samuel fantasy owners, you're going to like it. Thirty rush yards, six receptions, 59 receiving yards, and a receiving touchdown."
49ers fans will likely take it. No matter the score, every win inches San Francisco closer to securing a playoff berth. If the season ended today, the team would be the sixth seed in the NFC. Any misstep between now and the end of the regular season could jeopardize that.
There is even a scenario that has the 49ers, not the Arizona Cardinals or Los Angeles Rams, winning the NFC West. Of course, that would require quite a bit of losing from the latter two teams to finish out the season.
After Thursday's game, San Francisco will host the Houston Texans at Levi's Stadium before closing out the regular season against the Rams at SoFi Stadium.
Frelund admits she is looking forward to watching one duo on Thursday night.
"I'm actually looking at what's going on in the slot because both Deebo Samuel and George Kittle rank top-four in the NFL when targeted in the slot," Frelund told Siciliano.
Frelund added that Samuel averages 12.5 yards per target in the slot, ranking second in the NFL. Kittle averages 10.8 yards in the slot, ranking fourth. This season, the Titans have allowed 10 touchdowns to slot receivers, which ranks No. 30 in the NFL. So, it could be a big night for San Francisco's slot targets.
