Inactives:
- LB Azeez Al-Shaair (elbow)
- LB Dre Greenlaw (groin)
- DL Maurice Hurst (calf)
- OL Colton McKivitz
- RB Elijah Mitchell (concussion, knee)
The only roster moves made by San Francisco this weekend were the activations of two players—running back Brian Hill and safety Jarrod Wilson—from the practice squad. Both will revert back to the practice squad on Monday.
On Friday, San Francisco ruled out Greenlaw, Hurst, and Mitchell. However, Al-Shaair was listed as "doubtful."
"We're still waiting for [Al-Shaair's] elbow to recover," head coach Kyle Shanahan said Friday morning during a radio interview. "Hopefully, the swelling stuff will go down. That gives him a chance to play. Azeez, if he can protect himself, he's got a chance to play."
While Mitchell has been in the concussion protocol, the knee injury has been holding him back from returning. Shanahan noted that the rookie running back might even miss the 49ers' next game—a Thursday night road matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
"There's lots of steps in [the concussion protocol], but he's right towards the end of that," Shanahan told reporters on Friday afternoon. "I think he might be getting cleared later today (Friday). But it's just the pain tolerance of the knee and stuff. We thought it would go down faster, and it hasn't as quickly as we thought it would."
Here's the list of Falcons' inactive players:
- QB Josh Rosen
- OL Josh Andrews
- DL John Cominksy
- DL Marlon Davidson
- DL Jonathan Bullard
