The San Francisco 49ers announced that they have activated defensive tackle Maurice Hurst from injured reserve. This past week, the team had opened his practice window and needed to decide on his roster status within 21 days.

Hurst suffered an ankle sprain on August 22 and was placed on injured reserve on September 1. San Francisco signed him to a one-year deal on April 23.

The 49ers also opened the practice window of cornerback Davontae Harris this past week but opted not to activate the defensive back just yet.

The Raiders made Hurst a fifth-round selection out of Michigan in 2018. He registered 27 tackles, a tackle for a loss, 0.5 sacks, six quarterback hits, and a pass defensed through 11 games with Las Vegas last season, per Pro Football Reference.

Hurst, 26, has recorded 76 tackles, eight tackles for a loss, eight sacks, 17 quarterback hits, seven passes defensed, an interception, and a forced fumble through his three NFL seasons.

San Francisco will host the Seattle Seahawks tomorrow afternoon at Levi's Stadium.
