Dre Greenlaw didn't practice. He will undergo surgery this week to repair a core muscle injury. NFL insider Ian Rapoport says the linebacker will miss six to eight weeks.
Emmanuel Moseley was seen in uniform and running on the sidelines, testing his knee's strength (NBC Sports Bay Area). The starting cornerback was inactive for Week 1, and the team lost its other starting corner, Jason Verrett, for the season to a torn ACL. Moseley's status may be worth keep an eye on all the way until game day.
Two players, defensive linemen Javon Kinlaw and Arik Armstead, who did not practice on Wednesday returned to the practice field today. Kinlaw has been dealing with a knee issue that left him inactive for Week 1 while Armstead's injury was a recent development. While both were limited, it is progress.
Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has been the subject of much discussion this week after the second-year player saw a fewer-than-expected snap count against the Lions, splitting time on the field with Trent Sherfield.
"On Thursday, as the 49ers closed offensive warmups, Aiyuk's route wasn't crisp and he got coached up afterward by offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel," noted Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group.
Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Eagles, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
