Houston released Watt last month.
The Texans drafted Watt out of Wisconsin with the No. 11 overall pick in 2011. He registered 52 tackles, five sacks, seven passes defensed, an interception, a touchdown, and two forced fumbles in 2020, per Pro Football Reference.
Watt, 31, has recorded 531 tackles, 101 sacks, a safety, 61 passes defensed, two interceptions, two touchdowns, and 25 forced fumbles through his 10 NFL seasons. The five-time first-team All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler appeared in all 16 games in 2020 but missed at least half the season in three of the previous four years.
Watt underwent back surgery in 2016 and was limited to three games. He played in just five games the next year after a tibial plateau fracture ended his season. In 2019, Watt landed on injured reserve after suffering a torn pectoral during Week 8.
Watt is a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year and has recorded over 10 sacks during five of his 10 NFL seasons. He twice recorded career-highs of 20.5 sacks — once in 2012 and again in 2014.
