Jamar Taylor replaced William against the Packers. He finished the game with five tackles.
The only other injury that Shanahan noted was to Jaquiski Tartt, who suffered a toe injury. The safety was returning after missing two games due to a groin injury.
They're two more injuries to an already depleted 49ers roster currently sitting at 4-5 and in last place within the NFC West.
"Obviously, it's the most injuries throughout the entire NFL that we've seen," linebacker Fred Warner said after the game, "but with the guys we have, I think we've still got a lot of great football players on our team. And I think we've just got to get back to work, and we'll make sure we're competing at a high level come next game."
