"Recently, I posted something to my social channels without clearance from NFL Network, which went against its guidelines," Rapoport tweeted on Friday. "As a result, I will be off-air until October 22. I respect and understand the decision made by the network and am deeply sorry for the mistake."
It was not immediately clear exactly what Rapoport posted to warrant such a punishment. Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, however, reports that the suspension is due to an unapproved advertisement for Manscaped, a men's razor company, that was posted.
That's a loss for NFL fans. Rapoport is one of the most respected sources for breaking league news.
