Garoppolo completed just three of his 11 passes for 36 yards, an interception, and a passer rating of 2.8 in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl. Still, the quarterback wasn't the only one who was, perhaps unfairly, criticized. Head coach Kyle Shanahan also took some heat for his seemingly questionable game management.
Juszczyk saw the criticism as unfair, and running back Jeff Wilson Jr. agrees with his teammate.
Wilson joined Steve Wyche on NFL Network's Total Access on Tuesday and was asked if the criticism of Garoppolo and Shanahan is fair.
"No, it isn't because we were in the Super Bowl," Wilson responded. "Both of those guys got to the Super Bowl. With all the criticism (this season saying) they'll be 4-10, they won't win this amount of games, they won't do this, won't do this, but we got to the biggest stage there is.
"No matter if we win, lost, or tied in that game, they got there. Those two guys helped us get there, and they played a big role in that. So I feel like the criticism, they shouldn't have that, at all."
