The Rock's NFL fandom may not be limited to "The People's Tight End," George Kittle. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, retired wrestler and current actor and producer, was part of the Super Bowl LIV television introductions, which were recorded in the Miami area during the week leading to the game. He offered words of encouragement to the losing quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo of the San Francisco 49ers.

Johnson praised Garoppolo for leaving it all on the field against the Kansas City Chiefs.

"Though the outcome wasn't what you wanted - you'll no doubt come back stronger, better, smarter and hungrier next season," Johnson wrote via the Instagram post below.

Garoppolo's 49ers led 20-10 late in the game but allowed the Chiefs to mount a comeback and score 21 unanswered points along the way, winning 31-20. The 49ers quarterback finished the game 20-of-31 passing for 219 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. However, he went 3-of-11 for 36 yards with an interception and a passer rating of 2.8 in the fourth quarter.

Kittle, a huge wrestling fan (probably an understatement), said early last week that meeting Johnson had been one of the highlights of the trip to Miami up to that point.

Garoppolo and the 49ers embark on an offseason of self-improvement with the hopes of accomplishing what they couldn't this past season — winning a championship.

H/t to NFL Draft Diamonds for the find.
