49ers exercise Alex Smith buy-back clause

According to Matt Maiocco of the Press Democrat, the 49ers have exercised the Alex Smith buy-back clause. The team had until March 15th to buy back two more years on his contract meaning it's now a six-year deal instead of a four-year deal.
