So which team will Boldin, who played three seasons with San Francisco, be rooting for to win? He at first said he was kind of torn, but then revealed which squad he was leaning toward.
"I think both teams are great," Boldin said. "Both teams are playing real well, and deserve to be in the Super Bowl right now. Playing in San Francisco for three years, I would love to see them bring him the sixth championship, but I also would love to see Andy Reid win it. He's a great coach, a guy that I've lined up across the field against many times, and I think he's just a coach that is going about it the right way and deserves to win one.
"I'm a little torn, but I think my loyalty with the San Francisco 49ers pushes me over more that way."
The historic Vince Lombardi Trophy, which was handcrafted by artisans at Tiffany & Co., is made of sterling silver and depicts a regulation-size football in kicking position on a pyramid-like base that includes the words 'Vince Lombardi Trophy' and 'Super Bowl LIV' along with the NFL shield.
"Today marks the 20th consecutive year FedEx has safely delivered the iconic Vince Lombardi Trophy, one of the most recognizable trophies in all of sports, to the Super Bowl host city," said Patrick Fitzgerald, a Senior VP with FedEx. "Our annual delivery of this special hardware is one of more than a billion deliveries we make for and to customers each year. On behalf of more than 490,000 FedEx team members around the world, we are honored to deliver this trophy to football fans."
