The 49ers GM spoke with NBC Sports Bay Area after the 37-20 victory over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game. Tonight, the team celebrates. But soon, it will start preparing for the Kansas City Chiefs.
A year ago, the 49ers finished the season with four wins and were preparing to coach the Senior Bowl. Now, they will head to the Super Bowl.
"It feels incredible," Lynch said. "Someone up there said, 'From Mobile to Miami.' This time last year, we were coaching the Senior Bowl in Mobile, but the great thing about coming here, and part of the reason I came here is guys like this (pointing to Jeff Garcia and Donte Whitner) that set such a high standard, and this is an iconic organization, and needed to be returned to the top.
"When people work together, when you set a vision for what it is exactly you're looking for, when you've got guys like our guys that just compete their tail off each and every day, and you've got one of the best head coaches in football, you can do some special things. We've got an opportunity to do that playing against Kansas City in Miami."
Lynch went on to discuss the many ways the 49ers have won this season, knowing during training camp that the team could be special, and opening the doors for former Niner greats. You can watch the entire interview below.

The San Francisco 49ers locker room at Levi's Stadium looked a little different during Super Bowl LX — and not in a way 49ers players appreciated. Although the Seattle Seahawks were officially designated as the away team, they were assigned the home locker room and even wore...
