A big mistake.
Q13 Fox News in Seattle reported tonight that it was the Minnesota Vikings, not the 49ers, who won at Levi's Stadium, setting up a potential NFC Championship Game at CenturyLink Field.
"So, whoever wins tomorrow (between the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers) will play the Minnesota Vikings next," said the misinformed anchor. "The question is where. Today, the Vikings beat the 49ers to get to the NFC Championship. The final score was 27-10."
Well, at least she got the score correct.
"The Vikings win sets up Seattle as the possible hosts of the NFC Championship Game, but only if the Seahawks beat the Packers tomorrow," the anchor continued. "So we will see. We're keeping our fingers crossed. Go Hawks."
All of this was said as 49ers scoring highlights are shown during the report.
As the rest of the world knows, at least here on Earth One, the NFC Championship Game will be hosted by the 49ers at Levi's Stadium on Sunday, January 19.
