Seattle station reports Vikings beat 49ers, hopes Seahawks can host NFC Championship

Jan 11, 2020 at 10:04 PM--

No, this is not news from a parallel dimension. It also isn't a delusional fanbase refusing to acknowledge a San Francisco 49ers win. This is just a mistake from a Seattle news station.

A big mistake.

Q13 Fox News in Seattle reported tonight that it was the Minnesota Vikings, not the 49ers, who won at Levi's Stadium, setting up a potential NFC Championship Game at CenturyLink Field.

"So, whoever wins tomorrow (between the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers) will play the Minnesota Vikings next," said the misinformed anchor. "The question is where. Today, the Vikings beat the 49ers to get to the NFC Championship. The final score was 27-10."

Well, at least she got the score correct.

"The Vikings win sets up Seattle as the possible hosts of the NFC Championship Game, but only if the Seahawks beat the Packers tomorrow," the anchor continued. "So we will see. We're keeping our fingers crossed. Go Hawks."

All of this was said as 49ers scoring highlights are shown during the report.

As the rest of the world knows, at least here on Earth One, the NFC Championship Game will be hosted by the 49ers at Levi's Stadium on Sunday, January 19.

Raheem Mostert hopes to one day land on NFL Top 100 Players list

By David Bonilla
Jul 29, 2020

Raheem Mostert has some big aspirations. The biggest football-related one might be the San Francisco 49ers running back being motivated by Canton. He hopes to have a good enough career to one day find himself in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. If last season's Green Bay Packers defense were the voters, Mostert might be a shoo-in. The former undrafted player rushed for 220 yards and four touchdowns on 29 carries against the Packers defense in the NFC Championship Game, helping to punch the 49ers' ticket to Super Bowl LIV. "[The performance] really opened up my eyes," Mostert said in April. "[I said], 'Hey look, I did this. Why stop? Just keep going. Keep doing the right

John Lynch calls reports of 49ers' interest in Jamal Adams 'totally inaccurate'

By David Bonilla
Jul 27, 2020

There were multiple reports that the San Francisco 49ers were among those contending to acquire former New York Jets safety Jamal Adams. The most recent came from Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, who stated that both the 49ers and Dallas Cowboys were among the teams involved in trade discussions. General manager John Lynch calls those reports inaccurate. "Totally inaccurate," Lynch told NBC Sports Bay Area. "We did not ever make a call about the player." The Jets ended up shipping the All-Pro safety to the

49ers, George Kittle not 'particularly close' on new deal, reports Rapoport

By David Bonilla
Jul 29, 2020

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch sounded optimistic on Tuesday that a deal with the team's All-Pro tight end, George Kittle, would get done — eventually. "George is such a great fit for what we do," Lynch said on KNBR. "He's a tremendous player. I'm sitting here looking at the vision statement for what we want in a player, and George checks every box. He's tremendous. He's what we want to be. I think it would be silly not to figure that out, so we're going to do our best to do just that." The good news is that Kittle reported to the 49ers on Tuesday for his first COVID-19 test. Should that one and his second test on Friday return negative,
