Safety Jaquiski Tartt was, once again, a full participant in practice and looks ready to return from the rib injury that kept him out of the 49ers' final four games of the season.
Kwon Alexander continues to practice in a blue no-contact jersey. The 49ers can activate the linebacker off of injured reserve before Saturday's game. He suffered a torn pectoral muscle on October 31, 2019.
Grant Cohn of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat posted the following video of Alexander with speculation that the linebacker may have "tweaked" his right forearm during practice. Although, the beat writer later stated that the potential injury did not appear serious.
Cohn later added the following.
Pass rusher Dee Ford continues to practice and looks on track to return against the Vikings. He was inactive for the 49ers' final three games of the season due to a hamstring injury.
On the Vikings' side, wide receiver Stefon Diggs missed his second consecutive practice due to an illness. Cornerback Mackensie Alexander underwent arthroscopic surgery for the small tear in his lateral meniscus and will not play against the 49ers.
Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen sustained an ankle injury during Wednesday's practice. He was listed as "limited" on the team's injury report. The receiver's status is something worth keeping an eye on.
