While the Packers are entering the matchup in good health, the same can't be said of the 49ers. The list of players who did not practice on Wednesday is lengthy.
Among those sidelined are San Francisco's top pass catchers — tight end George Kittle (knee, ankle) and wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders (ribs) and Deebo Samuel (shoulder).
Sanders and Samuel are expected to play on Sunday, even if they aren't 100-percent healthy, but head coach Kyle Shanahan insisted the two will be game-day decisions.
Kittle's status also won't be known until closer to kickoff. The Pro Bowl tight end hasn't practiced since suffering his injuries during Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Shanahan was asked how he would characterize Kittle's status this week.
"Better than last week but not good enough to practice today," he responded. "It's going to come down to the wire again. Hopefully, it will work out."
Running back Matt Breida (ankle), defensive end Dee Ford (quadricep, hamstring), kicker Robbie Gould (right quadricep), and tackle Joe Staley (finger) also did not practice.
Below are Wednesday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Packers, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
