Bosa is the 49ers' first defensive lineman to win the award since Bryant Young in 2005, per Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group.
Bosa played college football at Ohio State, and the 49ers made him the No. 2 overall pick in April. He has racked up eight combined tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble through four games this season.
