News of Young's signing was first reported on Monday morning by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The Dallas Cowboys made Young a sixth-round selection out of Notre Dame in 2010. Young has 88 game appearances and 21 starts through his nine NFL seasons. He also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills during his professional career.
Coleman, 27, suffered a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle during the first quarter of Saturday night's preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys. He underwent surgery on Sunday. Coleman was expected to be the 49ers' swing tackle and the first player in should starting tackles Joe Staley or Mike McGlinchey need to come out of a game.
The Cleveland Browns made Coleman a third-round selection out of Auburn in 2016. Coleman has 23 game appearances and 16 starts through his three NFL seasons. San Francisco acquired Coleman by trading a seventh-round pick in the 2019 draft to Cleveland on August 31, 2018.
