After all, Goodwin recently won $1 million in the recent 40 Yards of Gold competition, and his accolades as an Olympic athlete haven't exactly gone unnoticed either.
Goodwin's achievement caught the attention of Denver Broncos EDGE Von Miller, who took to Instagram to congratulate the Niners' speedy wideout. But not before a friendly suggestion the results may have been different if Miller had raced:
Goodwin responded to Miller's post by writing, "Thanks family 🙏🏿 we lining it up when we scrimmage y'all."
The 49ers and Broncos are going to have joint practices again this year, this time at Denver's practice facility in Englewood, Colorado, between Aug. 15 and 17. Both teams will square off for Week 2 of the preseason on Monday, Aug. 19 at 8 p.m. ET.
Unfortunately, these joint practices are going to be closed off to the public. So, fans in the greater Denver area clamoring to watch this would-be race between Goodwin and Miller might have to hope a member of the media, or at least a fellow teammate, catches the action on film.
One should note the 30-year-old Miller ran a 4.53 40-yard time back at the 2011 NFL Scouting Combine.
Goodwin, meanwhile, had a 4.27 time in 2013.
Still, it would be a fun race to watch. Let's hope both players decide to see it through for some lofty bragging rights.
