Protheroe recorded a 40-time of 4.75 seconds, benched 22 225-pound reps, leaped nine feet in the broad jump, and jumped 30.5 inches in the vertical. He rushed for a single-season school-record 1,810 yards on 363 carries with 13 touchdowns through 11 games last season. Protheroe has registered 4,271 rushing yards, also a school record, with 35 rushing touchdowns over his collegiate career with the Mustangs.
Quarterback Khaleel Jenkins, kicker Alex Vega, defensive back Jerek Rosales, defensive back B.J. Nard, and defensive lineman Leroy Mealancon also participated in the pro day. The latter two ended their time with Cal Poly in 2017.
The team's official site states that both Vega and Rosales are expected to attend the local pro days of the 49ers and Oakland Raiders next month while Protheroe plans to attend the Raiders'.
