Thursday injury notes:
- WR Marquise Goodwin missed his second-straight practice of the week after suffering a calf injury on Sunday against the Chicago Bears. Two missed practices do not bode well for his chances of playing against the Rams. The 49ers promoted WR Steven Dunbar Jr. from the practice squad on Wednesday. One more practice, an 11:55 a.m. session on Friday, remains.
- TE Garrett Celek remains in the concussion protocol.
- LB Mark Nzeocha was limited on Thursday after not practicing on Wednesday.
- T Joe Staley returned to practice after receiving his typical veteran day off on Wednesday.
- Both RB Matt Breida and WR Dante Pettis have already been ruled out for Week 17.
Of note: Rams RB Todd Gurley will not practice on Thursday. Although, that doesn't necessarily mean he won't play against the 49ers.
Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Rams, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
