The San Francisco 49ers are following in the footsteps of the Los Angeles Rams in their efforts to support California wildfire victims. The Rams donated game-worn jerseys of players like Jared Goff and Todd Gurley to be auctioned off to benefit victims of the Southern California wildfire that has devastated the area.

The current bid on Gurley's jersey is $3,620.

General manager John Lynch announced on Monday that several 49ers players, including George Kittle, DeForest Buckner, and Joe Staley, will do the same for Northern California victims affected by the wildfire impacting Butte County and the surrounding areas. Their jerseys will be autographed.

There was some concern that Monday night's game at Levi's Stadium between the 49ers and New York Giants could be relocated or rescheduled due to the poor air quality that has resulted from the fires. The game will kick off at 5:15 p.m., as scheduled.

The 49ers already announced that the team has named North Valley Community Foundation (NVCF) as the new recipient of the proceeds from the 50/50 Raffle during Monday's game. The 49ers will provide a dollar-for-dollar match to all contributions.
