The 49ers finally received some good news on the injury front. Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quadricep) was a full participant in practice on Thursday. Goodwin missed this past Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.
"It changes your offense a little bit and what you want to do as a scheme, for sure," quarterback C.J. Beathard said of not having Goodwin available during Sunday's loss. "So it will be nice to have him back this week."
Other injury notes from Thursday:
- RB Matt Breida did not and was not expected to practice. He is dealing with a mid-ankle sprain suffered against the Cardinals. Shanahan has not ruled him out against the Packers, but he will likely still be doubtful.
- Three offensive linemen sat out Thursday's practice. G Mike Person, C Weston Richburg, and T Joe Staley are all dealing with knee injuries.
- WR Trent Taylor, who had offseason back surgery, sat out practice. "Just lingering things from [his back issues]," Shanahan said before practice.
- TE George Kittle (knee) was limited after Shanahan initially reported he would not practice.
Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Packers, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
