Update: Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports that Williams injured his knee on the concrete along the side of the practice field after going down at the end of a play during one-on-one coverage drills.
Update 2: Maiocco spoke with Williams after practice and the injury doesn't appear to be serious. "He's walking and said he is fine," Maiocco reported.
The 49ers were already a little thin at strong safety after Marcell Harris injured his hamstring during Wednesday's practice.
