Schwartz responded to my own speculation that Richburg may be a better left guard than current 49ers starting center Daniel Kilgore.
Richburg has played in 51 games with 50 starts during his four-year career with the New York Giants. After missing only one game in his first three seasons, Richburg was placed on injured reserve with a concussion this past season.
Schwartz was an offensive guard and tackle in the league, playing for four different teams. He had stints with the Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Minnesota Vikings. Most recently, Schwartz was a teammate of Richburg's with the New York Giants in 2014 and 2015. Schwartz played in 13 games during his two seasons in New York.
